Tango Mini-Workshops for Technique Improvement

Starting January 2013, Tango-OK will conduct regular Mini-Workshops focusing on technique improvements.

These workshops run with a minimum of 2 couples, and maximum 3 couples.

Registration is necessary.  Individual registrations are welcomed and we will pair the couples.


Dates & Topics:

A) Saturdays 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th January 2013 from 2:30pm to 4pm

Topic:  Walking
Elegance, control and maintenance of balance, shifting of the weight, preservation of the axis.


B) Saturdays 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th January 2013 from 4:30pm to 6pm

Topic: Embrace
Tango de Salon close-embrace, connection with the partner, maintenance of own axis, sharing of space.


C) Sundays 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th January 2013 from 7:30pm to 9pm

Topic: Embellishments
Natural embellishments based on appropriate interpretation of music, stops and pauses - for men and women.


D) Thursdays 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st January 2013 8pm to 9:30pm

Topic: Turns
Correct techniques to apply in turns (to the left and right) for men and women, maintenance of axis and balance, sharing of space, provocation of entradas and sacadas.


Costs:

120AED per person per workshop; OR
440AED per person for a 4-workshop package taken in sequence.


Venue:

Jumeirah Village Triangle, Dubai.  Location map will be provided upon registration.
